Alexandra Scott was diagnosed with terminal cancer right before her first birthday. Doctors informed her parents that she would not live much longer, and if she did she would not be able to walk. Despite the odds, Alex overcame adversity and managed to battle this disease for 8 years. At the age of four she decided that she wanted to have a lemonade stand, and that the proceeds would go to finding a cure for cancer. Although Alex was unable to beat this disease she has won in so many other ways. Her selfless personality, and inspirational story has benefitted the lives of numerous people. Since the year 2000 Alex’s foundation has raised over a 1 million dollars.
